About the Nunavut Court of Appeal
The Nunavut Court of Appeal (NUCA) serves as the appellate court for Nunavut territory matters.
Structure
The court convenes two to three times a year with panels of one to three judges from Nunavut's trial courts and appellate benches from Alberta, Northwest Territories, and Yukon.
Jurisdiction
The court handles indictable offences through multi-judge panels, while summary conviction appeals proceed before single judges.
