Judges and Justices

The Nunavut Court of Justice is served by judges appointed by the federal government and Justices of the Peace appointed under territorial legislation.

Justices of the Peace

Justices of the Peace are community-based lay judges who handle specific matters including first appearances, bail hearings, and summary conviction matters.
