Under the Nunavut Child and Family Services Act, all child protection cases are heard in the Nunavut Court of Justice.
Family cases can involve different stages and types of court appearances. Sometimes you must go to court in person. Other times, you may be able to attend by phone or video conference. The court will tell you where and how to attend your hearing. Always read your documents carefully to see what is required.
If you are not sure how to attend or need help arranging your appearance, contact the Justice Centre or your Family Services office for guidance.
